Space visualisation for a project prototype. Utilising concepts of calm technology and biophilia to restore mood and energy. The family Hub at Melbourne Royal Children's Hospital, was pitched for an immersive relation space for visitors, staff and patients.
The virtual environment that was created in unity and rendered in HDRP of the neighbouring park draws on the aesthetic joys of outdoors and is simulated in a room across 4 projection mapped planes.
The camera position is aimed to create a perspective of sitting within a safe dwelling inside the park and looking out beyond the horizon. The psychology draws on Attention Restoration Theory, which conceptually allows users to take a break from the emotional load in hospital environments.
